Downloading Java
- Click on this link Sun JRE 1.6.6. Click "Accept" to accept the license agreement
- Click on your operating system (i.e. "Windows Installation, Multi-language" if you have Windows).
- Click "Run" and then "Run" again.
- Click "Next" (it may ask you to click "Next" again and if so click it)
- Click "Finish"
- After the installation it will ask you to reboot your computer so that the changes will take effect. Click "Yes".
- After your computer comes back up click on “Start” and then “Control Panel”.
- Double click on the “Java” icon.
- Click on the “Update” tab and uncheck the “Check for Updates Automatically” to disable the Auto-Update feature and then click “Apply” button and close. This step is very important.
You should now be ready to log into Blackboard.
